​Raúl: Portugal has the greatest football star Cristiano Ronaldo in history

Spanish football legend Raúl spoke about his former club Schalke 04 during a European Championship legends press conference, expressing his ongoing interest in the club's situation and feeling saddened by their recent struggles. Facing questions from German and Portuguese journalists, Raúl also provided his insights on the prospects of various teams in the European Championship.

"Of course, I still follow Schalke 04!" Raúl said. "Because Schalke has always been in my heart. During the final stages of my career, my family and I spent some wonderful times there."

"We reached the semi-finals of the Champions League and won a trophy (DFB-Pokal) - it wasn't as easy as it was during my time at Real Madrid!" Raúl never won the Copa del Rey during his time at Real Madrid, but he won the UEFA Champions League three times and La Liga six times.

Speaking about Schalke 04's current situation, Raúl said, "The experiences the club and those amazing fans have been through make me sad. Luckily, they have achieved better results recently, and I really hope they can achieve greater success in the future, including staying in the top flight."



When asked by German journalists about Real Madrid's German midfielder Toni Kroos, Raúl said, "The German team will be very happy about Kroos's return. They have many excellent players, with a great coach and home advantage. However, there are also many strong teams in this World Cup - of course, I mainly think of the French team, but also the Spanish, Portuguese, and English teams.
